GENTAJECT

GENTAJECT contains Gentamycin, used to treat several types of bacterial infections. Active against a wide range of bacterial infections, mostly Gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas, Proteus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Serratia, and the Gram-positive Staphylococcus.

COMPOSITION
Each ml contains:

Gentamycin sulphate equivalent to Gentamycin    :           40 mg

FEATURES

• In contrast with most other currently used antibiotics, Gentamycin exerts pronounced bactericidal activity against several, often multi-resistant, Gram-negative pathogens, such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp. and Pseudomonas spp.

INDICATIONS

• Neonatal sepsis,
• RTI, CRD  
• Bones and joints infection
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Pneumonia etc.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
For IM, SC & Slow IV
Large Animals: 2 - 4 mg/ kg. b.wt once daily for 3-5 days
Small Animals: 1 - 2 mg/ kg. b.wt once daily for 3-5 days
or as directed by veterinarian
