Chlorpheniramine is a first-generation alkylamine antihistamine used in the prevention of the
symptoms of allergic conditions. Its sedative effects are relatively weak compared to other first-
generation antihistamines. Chlorpheniramine is one of the most commonly used antihistamines
in small-animal veterinary practice.
COMPOSITION
Each ml contains:
Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP : 10 mg
Phenylmurcuric Nitrate IP : 0.002 %( w/v)
(As preservative)
Water for injection IP : q.s.

INDICATIONS
• Inflammatory conditions like dermatitis, rhinitis, itching
• Laminitis, pruritus, mastitis, burns, drug reactions, stomatitis etc.
• Anaphylactic shock and hypersensitivity reactions
• Insect bite and excessive histamine release
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
For I/M route
Dog : 0.4-2 mg/kg b. wt twice daily
or as directed by veterinarian
