Bactiphage-EC
The Next Generation Solution Against E.Coli
Bactiphage-EC is designed to be used as a water-soluble feed additive. It is a cocktail of four bacteriophages – each of the four isolates is present at a high concentration (2 x 107 PFU per phage per gram of product). Each of the bacteriophages has unique properties and a specific role in the cocktail. It has a broad spectrum of activity and is far less prone to resistance. It has faster cidal action on the pathogen.
Composition
Indian isolates of lytic bacteriophages that are lethal to APEC (Avian Pathogenic Escherichia Coli). It contains the lead phages, the associate phage, and the guard phage.

- Protects against production losses due to E. Coli related disease stress in sub-clinically affected birds.
- Drastically improves processing plant hygiene as far as coliforms are concerned. Usage for the last seven days in finisher broilers has been found to be extremely useful in reducing carcass contamination at the processing plant.
Recommended Dosage
Broilers
Pre-started stage : 1g per 20 birds per day from day 1 to day 7
Finisher stage : 1g per 10 birds per day from day 30 to day 37
Breeders and Commercial Layer : 1g per 10 birds per day medication should be done for 10 days in a month for whole lifetime
For use as spray on day-old chicks and feed during high disease pressure:
Step 1 : Mix 650 g of Bactiphage-EC in 10 litres of water.
Step 2 : Mix with liquid to be sprayed on 1000 day-old chicks or 1 MT of feed.
