Antimycoplasmal Lincosamide

Lincovet is a lincomycin-based antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, particularly those caused by gram-positive bacteria, including certain strains of mycoplasma. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively stopping the growth and spread of the infection.

Composition

Each ml contains:

Lincomycin Hydrochloride equivalent to Lincomycin base  : 300 mg

Benzyl Alcohol IP : 2% V/V

Indications

For the prevention, control, and treatment of mycoplasmosis.

Dosage and Administration

By IM, IV, and SC route

Cattle, Camel, Sheep, and Goat: 1 ml per 30 kg body weight

Dog and Cat : 1 ml per 15 kg body weight

Poultry : 20 mg per kg body weight or 1 ml per 15 kg body weight.

Or as advised by a registered medical practitioner.

Withdrawal Period

Milk : 7 days

Chicken (Meat and Offal) : 22 days
