Broad Spectrum Endecto Parasiticide
Ivermectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug belonging to the Avermectin family, which constitutes a potent new class of anthelmintic agents. They are naturally derived products of microbial action, displaying an exceptionally wide range of antiparasitic efficacy against external and internal parasites of domestic animals.
Composition
Each 10 ml contains Ivermectin – 12 mg.
Indications
Poultry:
Internal parasites like Nematodes, Capillaria spp. (crop worm) and Ascaridia spp. and external parasites like mite and lice infestations.
Sheep and Goats:
Gastrointestinal worms (adult and immature) – Cooperia spp., Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia circumcinta, Trichostrongylus spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Strongyloides papillosus and adult Chaberiat ovina.
Lungworms (adult and immature) – Dictyocaulus filaria.
Nasal bot (all larval stages) – Oestrus ovis.
External parasites like tick, mite, and lice infestations.
Calves and Cattle:
Gastrointestinal worms (adult and immature) – Ostertagia spp., Cooperia spp., Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Strongyloides spp., Bunostomum phlebotomum, Toxocara spp.
Lungworms – Dictyocaulus viviparus.
External parasites like tick, mite, and lice infestations.
Dosage and Administration
For oral administration:
Poultry, Sheep, Goats, Calves, and Cattle: 0.2 mg per kg body weight or 1 ml per 6 kg body weight.
For control of ectoparasites (e.g., lice, mites, etc.), repeat treatment the following day.
Medicated water should be used within 24 hours.
Additional dosage instructions for poultry:
- Multiply the average weight of the birds to be treated with the number of birds.
- Administer the quantity of Mectimax @ 1 ml per 6 kg body weight in 1/4th of the daily water consumption of the flock to be treated.
- Withdraw normal fresh water 1 hour before administration.
- Return to normal water after complete consumption of the medicated water.
Withdrawal Period
Meat and Egg : 14 days after the last administration.
Milk : 7 days after the last administration.
